Through the European Evangelical Alliance, ICY has built a special relationship between UK churches and youth ministries and those in Finland which means we can offer some very exciting opportunities to Finnish young people, youth leaders and churches interested in youth ministry and mission.

Together with the European Evangelical Alliance ICY can offer a very exciting one year opportunity to 18-25 year olds to do youth ministry in the UK and have all your costs covered including flights and insurances and even get a small weekly allowance. You will be part of a local, national and Europe wide network including weekly local meetings and up to six continent wide inspirational conferences a year.

ICY Europe also offers the opportunity for you to join in training courses at both undergraduate and post graduate level, either in an international setting or while ministering at your home church. The courses carry globally recognised accreditation at both B(Th) and Masters levels, and are both very practical, (your ministry counts for 25% of your degrees). Lectures take place on the four European conferences with two additional conferences in November and March. If you do the course as a part of your ministry with your home church, the cost is 3000 per year for the course, and a further 1750per year to cover the costs of conferences, books and tutoring. Your only other cost is your travel to and from conferences. If you want to be placed in another church either in Finland or elsewhere in the world, we can find a church for you which is part of the national network, and we ask them to cover your board and lodging, pay you a weekly allowance and cover your conference and tutoring costs including flights to conferences. You just pay the course costs of 3000 a year.

For Finnish youth leaders
ICY Europe is a network of like minded youth workers from around Europe who meet four times a year in the UK for four day inspirational conferences. The conferences take place in September, January, April and June. They are easily accessible from airports used by Ryan Air, Easyjet and other low cost airlines. Youthworkers are asked simply to cover the costs of the accommodation which is about 175 a conference, and their own transport. On the conference you will get the chance to meet and plan with inspirational mission focused youth leaders who share an international vision.

ICY also offers you the opportunity to take your young people on global mission to work for national movements at a cost they can afford. By linking you direct with ministries across the world, ICY can cut the administrative costs of mission but also ensure you integrate your mission trip into the ongoing work of a locally led long term ministry.

For Finnish Churches
ICY Europe in association with the European Evangelical Alliance is offering churches in Finland the opportunity to take on gap year teams from the UK with funding provided through the EU European Volunteer Scheme. The scheme covers their training, pocket money and travel costs, and offers about 1400 towards board and lodging costs.
ICY Europe also place trainee youth workers with churches as part of their three year undergraduate or postgraduate training. These can be either Finnish or English speaking trainees. ICY provides all training, networking and support. The church needs to offer board and lodging and a small weekly allowance to the trainee. It also needs to cover most of the training fees for the undergraduate student, between 1750 and 3000 a year, or all the training fees for the postgraduate student of between 4750 and 6000 a year.
