Opportunities for Existing Youth Workers to Study, Network and take on a Team
STUDY AND NETWORK OPPORTUNITIES
ICY is essentially a global network of like minded youth workers. Our distinctives are that we see mission, and in particular global mission as integral to all local ministry. We want to see young people come to faith, and aren’t satisfied unless this actually happens! Across Europe we have a very dynamic network of such leaders, who meet together four times a year in the UK. We are keen to develop a similar network in North America which can then also interact with our wider global partners.
We need visionary leaders to establish this network with us. Preferably these should be in close geographical proximity, but at this formative stage we will do the best we can to network as fully as we can. There are no costs involved, just a commitment to support one another and our wider global partners through encouragement in whatever way we can. As iron sharpens iron we want to encourage vision, and to work together to see those visions fulfilled. You are very welcome to join these networks, and become a part of the wider global vision. We would hope to bring folk together as and when we can at minimal cost to us all.
In addition you may like to consider studying on one of our courses. At present these are run from the UK, and would require four trips to the UK per year. We would then seek to network you in North America twice in the year. We can offer the Masters or Bachelors Courses for $5000 a year and this covers all your books, your conference costs, your tuition costs, and any other cost when in the UK. Ultimately we are flexible and simply want to find a way to resource and serve you as you serve young people. For more details of the training courses, visit the study opportunities section

TAKING ON TEAM
ICY is always looking to place young emerging leaders under the care and supervision of experienced and able youth workers. If you are looking to develop team, or are looking for a fresh challenge, we would be interested in exploring the possibility of doing so with you.
We can place emerging leaders on any of our courses with you. The church would need to pay for their costs, as set out in the Ministry Partner Guide, although the supervision fee would be reclaimable by your church in recognition of your input. You can take on as many workers as you want or can manage, either within your church or locally with other churches. We ask you to care pastorally for them, bring them together at least once a week for input, fellowship and planning, mentor them through their courses, and generally be there for them. We would also invite you to attend whatever conferences you can, and interact with other supervisors from across the continent. The conferences would be free. We are also able to offer you wider ministry opportunities as part of our international network.
For this partnership to work, you would need to have the full agreement of your church or any employer, be able to place, support and help train a small group of emerging leaders, and be committed to a wider national and international fellowship.
If you are interested in exploring these opportunities, please email Colin Piper, colin@icy.org.uk
