ICY's main focus is in Europe and Africa.
In Europe ICY's most established partner is based in the UK, where we partner with Reign UK to offer a missional network and training programme for youth workers called ICY UK. It is headed by Kyle McKinnon, Darin Stevens and a wider leadership team, who offer a range of training options for emerging leaders up to Bachelors level.
Our partner in Austria is Schloss Klaus which is a Torchbearers Bible School., out of which Armin Hartmann coordinates a network of youth workers and trainees.
In Sweden we work closely with a project based at a Lutheran church in Broby , under the leadership of Daniel Larsson. We have trainee team members jin our Bachelors and Masters communities in Germany and Switzerland and have friends to whom we send team in Finland, Bulgaria and Poland. ICY coordinates training and networking for the European Evangelical Alliance youth ministry network, eea21.eu
In Africa ICY has an office in Nairobi which coordinates applications for short term mission in East Africa. The ICY Africa region is coordinated by Peter Abungu and administrated by Ruth Mwangi. Our senior East Africa partner, Swahiba Youth Networks pioneered youth ministry in the slums and is now piloting a model of long term sustainable youth discipleship in the bush near Siaya, with a view to reporducing the model across rural Africa.
In North America, ICY is in partnership with First Priority of America to develop its training model in First Priority cities across the US. The founder of First Priority of America, Benny Proffitt, acts as a consultant to ICY Europe and Africa.
In Oceania, ICY has a long term friendship with Praxis who train young leaders primarily in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
ICY is co-ordinated by Colin and Melissa Piper, out of London. Among other things, Colin and Melissa are youth advisers to the European Evangelical Alliance.
